WOW. That’s probably the best way to begin describing Gramatik’s first headlining show at Red Rocks this past weekend. Not only did Gramatik and his Lowtemp mates sell out the historic Colorado venue, but they all brought their A-game and proved why they are part of one of the most dynamic labels out there.

The night kicked off with what was essentially a Lowtemp music showcase from Gibbz, Branx and Exmag. Exmag was quite the treat, as all the members (including Gramatik himself) dropped an extra smooth and vibrant set. Afterwards, the large, eclectic live band Lettuce brought their funk-infused grooves to the packed house. Their set was definitely a great experience as they had insane guitar play, Pretty Lights/Break Science drummer Adam Deitch crushing the drums per usual, and even a live soul singer to belt out some great songs.

However, while the openers all put on excellent performances, Gramatik’s headlining set was nothing short of incredible. He brought his high-energy and filthy beats the entire show, and surprised the crowd several times with cameos by Dominic Lalli of Big Gigantic, Russ Liquid playing at least 5 different live instruments. However, the cherry on top was definitely when both Dom and GRiZ came on stage together for an epic Big Grizmatik set that had everyone begging for more.

All and all an absolute banger of a live show and a great way to set off what is sure to be another epic Red Rocks season!
