Don’t really know how to describe this, but it’ll definitely get your panties in a bunch if you are a minimalist production fan a.k.a. DERS.

Bwana – Baby, Let Me Finish

This has been my jam this week. I wanted to share it with you but I didn’t know how to describe it. Quit Mumbling takes care of the explaination, saying, “Canadian/UK electronic artist Bwana, perfectly captures that range or mixture of love and loathing in the hypnotizing “Baby, Let Me Finish”.  The track starts off with the lonely vocal sample that echoes back and forth between glitched out percussion.  As waves of synths enter, the vocal sample is perfectly chopped to mimic a couple enraged, cutting each other off before either can speak their mind.  The track peaks, and the vocal is finally allowed to finish itself off “You’ll be all better, baby once you finish”- and a moment of peace takes over.  The track continues to build, but each time ending with that moment of clarity expressed so wonderfully through Bwana’s vocal arrangement.”
